Self Catering Gites

La Maison Lierre is located on the outskirts of the village providing views over rolling fields and woodland, nestled within a quiet hamlet, and only a 10 minute walk to the village of Massais. The village offers a shop, a cafe, a bar, a grocery store and post office all under one roof. Recently refurbished to a high standard the self-contained Gite is separately situated within the grounds of the owners longere and can comfortably sleep 4-6 people. La Maison Lierre has a wonderful garden area with outdoor furniture, and a barbecue for our guests to use. Set in 1 acre of land and adjacent to open countryside, the property is ideal for those who enjoy walking and cycling, or just relaxing with a good book.

Our free range chickens provide fresh eggs and we grow seasonal fruit and vegetables in our plot, both are available for visitors to purchase. This combined with food from the local shop or market means staying in is a real treat. Throughout the year many species of birds call our grounds their home, a large variety of birds of prey nest along the country lanes and our resident red squirrel can be seen collecting walnuts from the tree.

The longere has two resident cats, chickens and a fully stocked fish pond, although well behaved pets are welcome, this is only by prior arrangement. La Maison Lierre offers the warm, friendly atmosphere of informal longere living where proprietors, Clare and Steve are happy to give advice on local amenities and attractions and share a bottle of wine.
